Quality Assurance Engineer
Multiple Locations – Full Time Position
KRG SYSTEMS is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer. You will be tasked to work on software projects by reviewing project user stories, working with other organizations to understand the complete requirements of the project, including the system software architecture, design, internal and external interfaces, use cases, etc.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, plan and test web based, mobile and desktop applications through collaboration of epics, user stories and design specifications
- Consult with users, product owners, scrum masters, development, infrastructure and service desk to determine software/system functionality and scope of epics and user stories
- Develop original test plans, document test results, scope, risks and provide sign-off for applications utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Server (Test Manager)
- Create QA test scripts and/or configure software testing tools to automate testing of software.
- Work with programmers, application developers, project managers, technical writers, and other individuals to collect all information necessary to create effective QA Test Plans.
- Identify, report and manage the lifecycle of all software defects using Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Responsible for reviewing and providing peer review feedback for business requirements, user stories, technical design documents and QA test plans
- Perform software quality testing on applications developed for and deployed to multiple operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Linux, UNIX).
- Manages the IS testing process, including defining benchmarks, testing status, testing progress, and reporting these items to the appropriate individuals/departments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Full knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
- At least 2+ year’s experience on test automation using Java or a similar tool
- Experience writing Test Plans & Use Cases
- Experience with API testing, Rest Services, Json
- Must have experience in writing and executing SQL queries for data verification
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and a self-starter
